On the 20th August Asus teased us with a twitter picture hinting that they will be releasing their own smartwatch and today at the IFA they have announced their ZenWatch.
The Asus ZenWatch will run Android Wear and be priced at 199 GBP (or ~$250 in the US). The watch itself screams quality, with a sleek 2.5 inch curved screen and Italian leather strap this watch would look good at any occasion. According to Asus there will be over 100 different options to alter the display enabling you to change it depending on your mood.
As for the tech specs behind the watch it will have a 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage, Bluetooth 4.0, microphone, heart rate monitor and will be waterproof.
ZenWatch will also be able to unlock your phone or tablet via the watch itself and also have a tap to find phone feature. Along with the ZenWatch Asus are also releasing ZenUI Wellness app which will help to track your fitness including, steps, activity, heart rate, exercise and calories burned.
Since the watch runs Android Wear it will also come with all the features of Android Wear itself including Google Now and the app store.
