With companies scrambling to get market share in the smartwatch market, Samsung are set to release their 3rd smartwatch in a matter of weeks. Since it is just a few months since the last Samsung model, (luckily for smartwatch enthusiasts) they are not simply releasing a similar version with a few upgrades, this watch will look very different.
The Gear 3 will feature a rectangular curved screen, likely to be similar to the iWatch. The watch will also not include a camera as their previous model did but may include the ability to add a SIM card to be able to work without being paired to a smartphone.
We are really looking forward to seeing this model hit the shelves as it will be a great indication of what type of design smartwatch users want to be wearing. Do users want a more traditional style watch or are they leaning towards the sleek smaller design similar to fitness bands?
As always we will keep you updated as this story develops.
